Recipe Notes

Use room temperature tortillas to prevent cracking.
Don’t overfill the wrap or it may burst while toasting.
Don’t overload with wet ingredients. Pat chicken dry before cooking and use a light spread of the sauce to keep tortillas crisp.
Press gently with a spatula while toasting for even browning.
Always place the seam-side down in the pan first. This helps “seal” the wrap and keeps it from opening as it toasts.

Recipe FAQs

Can I use leftover chicken?

Yes, Rotisserie, grilled, or even shredded roast chicken works great.

Can I make these in the Air Fryer?

Yes, you can. After assembling the wraps, air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 7 minutes until they turn crispy and golden brown. Flip the wraps halfway through cooking to ensure even cooking on both sides.

What other cheese blends work well for these wraps?

These combinations would work pretty well :
Cheddar and Parmesan for a sharp, savory flavor
Classic cheddar paired with red cheddar for color and depth
Cheddar and Gouda for a rich, smoky taste
Mozzarella and Monterey Jack for creamy melt and mild flavor
Feel free to experiment with these blends to find one you prefer.

Can I use just Cheddar or just Mozzarella?

Absolutely ! Using only cheddar cheese will give a sharper, more pronounced flavor, while mozzarella offers a milder, stretchy melt. Combining both would usually provide a balance of flavor and texture, but either of these works well alone.
